Size it once, write it down, and follow an 8-week plan built to get you skiing better, whether the season is spent at the resort, in the backcountry, or both.

Replaces scattered notes and the second trip to the shop for a size you already measured once, and a practice habit with no plan behind it.

Both kit ladders, resort and touring, at three budget tiers each, every item priced and linked, plus every product the kit names, kept current on this site.

Who it's for

  • A first-season resort skier sizing a boot and a ski for the first time, and following a beginner progression instead of guessing what to work on next
  • An intermediate skier stuck skiing the same blue runs the same way, ready for parallel technique, moguls, or a first ungroomed run
  • A resort skier stepping through the boundary gate for the first time, who needs the avalanche safety briefing and the course booked before anything else
  • A renter moving to owning, working out the season-pass breakeven honestly
  • Anyone tired of re-measuring the same foot or re-working the same skier code every time a shop asks

Who made this

SG

Built by the SnowGearSetup team from the same manufacturer specifications, ISO and ASTM standards, published ski-instruction fundamentals and skier-code charts the free site runs on, laid out as a workbook to fill in and a plan to follow rather than a page to read.

Questions

Does this replace the free site?

No. The free site has the calculators and the charts; the kit is where those numbers get written down, dated and reused, plus the skills plan, drill library, and the budget, avalanche and session logs the free pages do not carry.

Is this coaching or a lesson?

No, a self-guided plan. It is built from published instruction fundamentals and this site's own gear data, not delivered by an instructor watching you ski. Results depend on your own practice, terrain and conditions; nothing here replaces a lesson from a certified instructor.

I only resort ski. Is half of this wasted?

The resort ladder, the sizing sheets, the skills plan and the season budget tracker cover a resort-only skier completely. The touring-specific sheets sit unused until, or unless, that changes.

Does it replace an avalanche course?

No, and the safety briefing says so directly. The kit records training and gear and states the rules; it does not teach or certify either one.

What if it does not help?

Use the whole kit for 30 days. If it does not help, the refund form on the contact page gets every dollar back, no questions asked. Refund form.

Printable or fillable on screen?

Both. Print it and write by hand, or open a worksheet PDF in a reader that supports typing and fill it on a tablet or phone.
